Made F-712E Rear Tie Down Bar.

Attached F-812A&C together and drilled the #30 holes. Bent the F-812A flanges parellel to the F-812C flanges.

Received the 50 #30 clecoes from ACS the other day. So far, I have had 5 fail on the first use. There is a "snap" and then the cleco doesn't retract totally, leaving a loose connection. The fasteners are made by Kwik-Lok and they are visually, tactally and functionally inferior to the Wedgelock fasteners that I have been using. With 10% failure on the first use and concerned that the rest won't have a very long useful life, I called ACS tonight and their phone operator was willing to have me send back the defective fasteners. That would be too much of a hastle. Buying products sight unseen, I expect a reputable aviation parts warehouse to sell nothing but the best available items. I wanted some other resolution to this problem plus an explanation about the cheap excuses for a real cleco. The phone person said management will be contacting me about this problem. We'll see...
I have never had any problems with ACS in the past and I hope this experience won't be tainting our future relationship, especially when I am just starting out on my aircraft builder/owner/operator journey.
