Brief Description: Attached the fwd side skins (F-891 L&R)
Attached the F-895B Spacers to the F-895 doubler plates then attached the doubler plates to the side flanges of the center section. Inserted the Intermediate longerons then attached the fwd side skins (F-891 L&R). Attached the F-870E stiffener and the F870B outboard stiffener to the side skins. Clecoed the F-8100C to the left foreward skin and the F-8101B to the right foreward skin.
The forward floor and the landing gear weldment line up very well now that the side skins are in place and gig the forward section into alignment. I did use the blocks under the firewall to lift the foreward floor while I clecoed the side skins in place. This would be a good addition to the instructions. The instructions caused some unnecessary confusion and stress when it didn't say that it was normal for the floor to fall away from the gear weldment while following the instructions for fitting the lower longerons. It would be better if the instructions said to lift the firewall on 3" blocks before clamping the lower longeron to the gear weldment with the simulated spacers. This would better approximate the gear weldment to the lower longeron, just as the side skins do in this step.
