Brief Description:  Started Gretz Pitot tube installation

Drill and riveted a 3/4" angle to the outboard rib in the second bay outboard from the aileron bellcrank inspection plate. This angle was installed in such a way as to insure that the pitot tube backt plate is flush with the rib and wil thus not bulge the lower skin.
The back plate was drilled to the angle and the rivet holes of the spar were drilled using the spar holes as guides. The back plate was marked for the skin rivet holes per the instructions/picture. These back plate holes were used to back drill the skin holes. This required the use of the 90 degree drill and a lot of mental picturing where the holes were in order to get the bit into the holes for drilling.
After completing the back drilling, the skin was removed with the back p;ate still in place. The back plate then was used to drill the #8 screw holes with a #19 drill and as a guide for the removal of the material for the pitot mast. Unibits were used to remove most of the material. The Dremel came in handy using the cutting disc and the drum sander. Final material removal was with small files.
The back plate and skin were dimpled and the angle was countersunk.
The pieces were then corrosion treated. The angle was self etching primer sprayed in place and the back plate was surface converted and sealed.
