Started the engine dis-assembly by removing the propeller hub, the propeller control brushes and the propeller. Removed the Propeller Speed Reduction Unit (PSRU) rather easily with just a bit of wiggling after removing the bunch of nuts securing it to the Anodized front plate.. Inspection of the Spline Input showed no evidence of wear. There was some rust and it was dry. This will change on re-assembly because the spline will be coated well with a high solids anti-sieze lubricant.
