Brief Description: Low and Medium Speed Taxi Testing Performed
Low and Medium Speed Taxi Testing Performed. Rudder effective at 10-15 knots. No problems with alignment control. Gradualy increased speed to 45-47 knots over successive runs. Was able to get nose wheel, if not off of the runway, very light on the runway. There was a quartering headwind so I keep the ground spped conservatively low. Experienced the increasingly effective rudder control with speed increase. Finese is needed as the speed increases to avoid over-corrections. I need to be ready for an inadvertent takeoff that may occur at the higher taxi speed testing. I will forego further taxi testing until after I complete my transition training next week
