Brief Description: Angled the Dual GRT EFISs Upward
Angled the Dual GRT EFISs Upward to improve the viewing angle. After installing the neew Seattle Avionics charts and plates viewed on the GRT EFISs, I noticed a portion of the bottom display's top of the screen was being cut off from view. There was a visual distortion of the rest of the screen since the viewing of the screen was downward at screens that were pointed towards the chest. I used aluminum 0.025" aluminum sheet bent into identical triangle wedges that ran the entire side length of the dual display installion. The wedges expanded from about 1/2" at the top to about 1.5" at the bottom of the displays. After installation, the view is much improved both in quality and quantity of view.
