Brief Description:  Finished riveting the right tank stiffeners, cap f

Finished riveting the right tank stiffeners, cap flange and drain. Later discovered that I had forgot to add the T-714 clip to the fuel filler flange. I drilled out the rivet with out problems, added the clip then wet riveted and sealed the shop end again.

For all of the work done today, I found that it works best to gently countersunk each hole to remove excess dried proseal and to slightly cut the rounded metal of the dimple for better seating of the wet rivets. Then the wet rivet is inserted into the hole and riveted. A dab of proseal was then swirled onto the shop head of each rivet and any other place that may possibly leak.

The left tank skin was cleaned with mineral spirits then the stiffeners were prosealed and 100% clecoed to the skin. Similarly, the fuel filler flange and the flange for the tank drain were prosealed and clecoed into position. Having learned on the right tank, the left tank proceeded quite well. Tomorrow, I'll rivet the pices to the skin. The skins will be finished before I go the AirAdventure 2006 (Oshkosh) Monday morning.
