Brief Description:  Removed Tape and Residue on the Aft Top Skin

Removed Tape and Residue on the Aft Top Skin. This is the tape applied to the skin to prevent adhesion of epoxy during earlier work fitting the skirt. This was a difficult task because the tape did not want to release and when it did, it was in irregular pieces. Left behind was nearly all of the adhesive.
I started using Goof Off with some success. I later found that Lacquer thinner did as good a job, if not better a better job, of removing the adhesive. Even with the lacquer thinner, the task required lots of rags and rubbing. The object was to let the lacquar thinner dissove the adhesive and then transfer the adhesive to the rags. This required frequent turning of the rags and exposing fresh rag to the adhesive exposed to fresh thinner. After 2 hours, the adhesive was removed from the left side. Tomorrow, the right side.
