Brief Description:  Trimmed the Skirt Aft Top Edge

Trimmed the Skirt Aft Top Edge. It looks pretty good but I'll do some closer scrutony after the skirt is removed post gap sealing of the top aft top edge and bottom center.

Sanded and prepared the aft top lip and center bottom of the skirt for gap sealing. Applied a mixture of epoxy, microballoons and flox to the top lips and the bottom center, I applied extra to the aft top skirt in an area that appeared thin after all of the sanding and shaping of the aft skirt joint area.

I tried to remove the packing tape that I applied to the aft skin to prevent the epoxy mixtures from sticking to the skin. It is going to be a time consuming task to remove all of the tape and adhesive. It is a real P.I.T.A.!! My advice to others is to use 3M Vinyl Tape such as 3M 471 Tape to protect the skin. It is strong and easy to remove. The yellow and black tapes in the below pictures are both this tape.
