Brief Description: Formed a Shim for the GPS Antennae
Formed a Shim for the GPS Antennae attached to the Aft Top Skin. After the area and the antennae were taped, mold release applied and car wax applie. A dry mix of West System Fairing Filler (410 Microlight) and epoxy was applied to the antennae bottoms, put in place and secured with screws to squeeze out the excess filler. Once dry, this should form a nice shim to fill the gaps under the antennae caused by the arching contour of the top skin.
