Brief Description: Fabricated Pull Attachment for Setting Breakout
Fabricated Pull Attachment for Setting Breakout Force for the Nose Gear. I didn't like the plans solution because it reqires that the Nose Gear Fairing be installed and I didn't want to be pulling on the fairing to set the force. I bent some hanger wire to slip around the AN-4 Nose Wheel Axel Bolt. The bends in the attachment position the point of pull in line with the axel bolt, the point where the pull should be applied perpendicular to the gear. Next, I'll raise the nose off of the ground and set the force to 22 pounds using a fishing scale to adjust the landing gear axel nut against the pair of opposing Spring Discs.
