Brief Description: Made Hat Shelf Access Door in Aft Baggage Compartm
Made Hat Shelf Access Door in Aft Baggage Compartment. I decided to make the doo large fo easy inspections and maintenance of the electrical equipment in the aft fuselage. The door will open afton a hinge and be secured at the forward edge with a latch. The door is made of 0.050" 6061 aluminum, thicker then the rest of the shelf, to decrease flexing of the door. The supporting material that will be installed along the edge of the opening to support the door will be adjusted by shims to accomodate the increased thickness of the door.
