Brief Description: Applied Microballoon Slurry to Rudder Bottom Fairi
Applied Microballoon Slurry to Rudder Bottom Fairing after having sanded the fairing with 80 grit sand paper over the downdraft box. From all I can tell, the dust is being drawn down into the box. For smaller pieces, I may cover a portion of the box to increase the downward flow. I added microballoons to the epoxy until the consistency was that of a slightly loose peanut butter. I tried not to skimp on the application but I am not sure of what is the right thickness of application. Thicker is better than too thin due to density differences that occur between adjacent batches that are mixed separately to make up for too thin first applications.
