Brief Description:  Wired the IBBS Info Light

Wired the IBBS Info Light. First, I united the IBBS CPC then connected the Info wire to the switch along with a ground wire. When I turned on the IBBS Master Switch, nothing happened with the light. Back to the wring schematic. Ahha! I had thought the Info wire was the current wire for the light but it was not. The LED light needed a power wire that originated from one of the backup power wires that run from the battery to the piece of equipment. Thus, when the equipment is energized by the battery, the light illuminates. The Info wire goes to ground in the event of a power loss from the main power source of the equipment thereby completing the light circuit.
I ran a power wire from a butt splice of one of the Secondary Power wires of a EFIS to the light and connected the Info wire was connected to the other terminal of the LED light. Turned on the battery but again no light! Turns out that the LED is polar. Switching the wires on the terminals resulted in a perfectly functioning IBBS indicator light. Now, when the IBBS is active, the light will be illuminated.
