Brief Description:  Separated the Left Wheel Fairing Halves

Separated the Left Wheel Fairing Halves after removing the Peel Ply and then cutting the lower intersection fairings. I expected the halves to separate easily because I had used mold release on the clay before glassing. But this is not what happened. I saw where some epoxy had dripped toward the lower inboard wheel fairing split. I though that this glue was causing the difficulty with the fairing halves separating. I cut the fairing in this area to free the halves but this was not helpful at all. It turns out that the clay was stuck to the interior of the newly formed intersection fairing and was making it difficult to separate the halves. The extended cutting I did only cut off the lower flange of the aft half where the front half screws. I repaired this area while the halves
were screwed together in position. I then applied 4 plys of glass to the inside of the fairing thereby reattaching the flange in position.

I scraped and removed as much clay as I could. Then I turned to Vansairforce for suggestions. Most suggest warm water, soap and friction. I'll tackle that tomorrow
