Carved Excess Epoxy Flox from Fairings. I applied a bit too much yesterday and during the process of sanding off the sharp edges, I removed a good bit of excess epoxy and flox. I applied a 2 ply glass layer over the area to further strengthen the tongues which still seemed too flexible. The first application of the glass went pretty well. It was the striving for perfection that messed the process up. I had put the fairings back on the legs to let the glass form to the leg. But this was not really necessary since the epoxy flox shape was all I needed. While on the legs, I saw that the glass had been moved and air was evident under the glass. I removed the fairings, tended to the glass to remove the air and then left the fairings off of the legs to setup.
