Brief Description: Corrected Light Wiring of Fuel Guardian
Corrected Light Wiring of Fuel Guardian. I had initially thought that the warning light wires from the control unit were power wires for the lights and that another wire needed to be ran to ground from the other terminal of each light to complete the circuit. Instead, the Control Unit controls the grounding of the circuit to illuminate the individual tank lights. The power wire to the lights is aircraft power that I must run through a dimmer if I want to control the light brightness. Additionally, I had to install a 0.25A fuse inline from the dimmer power terminal to the lights. So the power runs from the dimmer power terminal, to the lights, through Fuel Guardian control box to ground. This is reversed from what I had thought was the path to the Tank Indicator Lights.
