Brief Description: Attached the Avionics Mounting Rail to Avionics
Attached the Avionics Mounting Rail to Avionics. Yesterday, I received the #8 SS Flat Heat Screws with the Hex Drive Head from MicroFasteners. I was waiting for them so that I could attach the avionics to the anodized aluminum channel mounting rail using the tapped 3/8" square nuts that I had fabricated earlier. The avionics mounted fairly easily with a few lessons to be learned along the way. One was that I had to dimple the tray holes of the PS 5000 EX to better seat the screws flush on the inside of the tray. Without doing this, the audio panel had a small bump on the side that that got hung up on the screw head preventing seating of the panel.
