Fabricated/Installed Rub Blocks for Rudder Cables because they travel too close to the lower longeron as the cross it to pass through the F-810B bulkhead.
I had some delron material that I cut to length and width after I had routered a radius on one of the edges. Using a cutoff wheel, I cut a slit lengthwise that fit the longeron perfectly. I decided to secure the blocks with pulled rivets after considering the use of some proseal. I was concerned the the slick nature of the delvon would work against the adhesive. Excess was trimmed off of the bottom sides to accomodate the rivet length. I had a bad pull of the forward rivet on the right side. I drilled it out after some difficulty. I reinstalled a rivet in the hole and installed an extra one to insure security. The cable now glide gently over the blocks and there is no issues with the rudder cables coming in contact with the longerons.
