Brief Description:  Removed the Left Wing Flap and Rolled the Edge

Removed the Left Wing Flap and Rolled the Leading Edge that tucks under the wing's top skin trailing edge. I had to do this because the flap's front edge was difficult to tuck under the wing skin during the wing fitting just completed and there was too much tension between the wing kin and the flap skin.

The flap skin bent downward just forward of the front flap spar. During an earlier attempt to adjust the flap skin curvature, I created this bend by not pulling up on the skin while trying to roll the front edge. Using a length of PVC pipe and duct tape to roll the edge, the edge was made more uniform along its length after this adjustment to the flap leading edge.

The difference was noticeable after the flap was reattached to the wing. Now, the flap was easier to tuck under the wing top skin and the flap moves throughout its range of motion without any excessive tension or lifting of the top wing skin. The force needed to move the flap is much less.
