Brief Description: Prep plexiglass and canopy rail
Starting down a path that requires continuation.
Taped up the plexiglass and caopy frame rail for bonding.
I preped/scuffed up the plexiglass edge where the adjesive will bond to the canopy rail. I also scuffed up the canopy powder coating. Cleaned the surface with alcohol. Applied the Sika Aktivator 100 to both surfaces. (Data sheet called for min 10 min and maximum 2 hours until applying primer. Waited an hour and applied the Sika 209D primer to both the canopy and the frame rail. (per the data sheet I had a maximum of 24 hours to apply the Sikaflex 295uv. So I left the frame and canopy in Jennifer's art studio to keep the temperature of the plexiglass at 72 degrees.
