After spending most of the day doing tidy up stuff, more safety wiring, installing split pins etc. I got to the point where I could finally add some fuel to the tanks and start the engine. All it took was a few seconds running the electric fuel pump to prime the carbie and the engine fired on ran on the first press of the starter button. I have to say I was really impressed. I need to adjust my sensor for the tacho as its not reading at very low revs, but that is just a matter of screwing it in a little more to close the gap between the sensor and the posts on the flywheel.
Pulling the plane out onto the grass
Started and ran at the first press of the starter, and its really quite too
Engine instruments all working and showing good temps and pressures
