The two supports that are clecoed to the top gear channel have a nylon bearing pop riveted to one face and the torque tube actually rides on this to give a smoother movement, although having just painted the entire mechanism, its going to require a few revolutions to free things up again, that and a little teflon oil should do the trick. The two vertical arms clear the top of my clowing by about 3mm-5mm, things are getting pretty close. I am glad that this job is finially done, it was a real painful exercise.
