After flying Clive gave me a quick hand to fix the floating nut plate where the rivet had not held in one corner. While Clive held the flat end of a chisel to the bottom of a new rivet, I tapped the top face of the rivet with a small tack hammer. 5 minutes and the job was done. I also rounded the finger strainer cover to follow the curve in the nose skin to achieve a much better fit. After Clive had left to finish work on his wing tip, I realised that I should have asked him to help me flip the wing over. Oh well, I asked Anne-Marie if she was feeling strong today, she agreed and we flipped the wing over in two stages, first was off the bench and onto the rear spar so that I could move the timber support beams off the bench and position some new supports, the second lift was to flip it over and lift it back onto the bench. 15 minutes and a successful result.
