Welcome to my RV-8A construction web site. I am Steve Ashby. Actually, I am not as frustrated as the photo depicts. Construction is usually (but not always) a stress reducing venture. I started this project when my dear Wife, Vicki, held a surprise 50th birthday party for me last May and asked all the guests to contribute to a "rivet fund" so that I could start construction. The generosity and encouragement of my friends and family spurred me to take a step I had been wishing to take for over 10 years. I ordered the tail kit from Vans and have never looked back. Construction has been a blast. I truly look forward to going into the shop each night, listening to some symphony music and working on the ship, N888SV. Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions, observations, insults, etc.
