Brief Description: Finishing the sides of the canopy
Back on the project after a week's vacation in Florida. While down there, I got to visit Patrick O'Brian and his RV-8 at Pompano Beach Airport. It was a real beauty. I also got lots of construction ideas from him. Tonight I went down into the basement started working on the rough edges of the plexiglas canopy that I cut out before the vacation. First, I sanded with 60 grit sandpaper, using an aluminum bar for a sanding block. Next, I used the plexiglass scraping tool I purchased from Avery Tools at Sun-N-Fun last year. It really smooths the edges well. Next, I have to order the special Sikaflex glue necessary to glue the canopy onto the frame.
