I believe this will be my lasst session for cutting the canopy to fit the frame. More cutting on the rear of the canopy
I set the canopy on its head and clamped in the canopy frame to see final fit. Everything is really close. I marked to make a few more small cuts, but though the better of it and put the frame back on the plane. I took the plexiglass canopy, while upside down and hit the edges with a belt sander to remove the small varances from the Drumel cutting and sanding tool. Once I had flattened the cut line I took 400 grit sand paper and sanded in the final radius for the canopy. Then took a small torch and quickly brazed the glass as a final smoothing. (I don't know if that was a good idea or not? We often flame polish plext at my work and it is a really smooth finish)
After taping the edge to protect it from the clamps, I clampped the plexiglass canopy back on the frame. (I thought I should sleep on it before I mark and make the "Big Cut" as they call it. --cutting the windshield from the sliding canopy.
*I have ordered the Sikaflex 295uv as well as the 209d primer and an Aktivator
