Brief Description: Assembled the rudder pedan assebmly
It's always great to have you dad in town as a voice of reason. Together we worked on the final rudder pedal assembly. Confirmed all attachments and smooth function of pedals, brakes, and slides. We had to rework the adjustment slide. (Finally we found that the aft end slide issue was with the torqued attachment bolt applying too much preasure causing the slide to distort. 30 inch pounds. We backed off the bolt and everything moved smoothly.)
Assembled the locking pin assembly and riveted the group of spacers and cut the locking pin head. Assembled the cable handle and with a little reflective red vinyl finished off the handle. Tied the cable and put some shrink wrap over it for good measure.
Bolted it to the assembly to the foward floor.Attached the cable hardware and made the adjustments to the mounting bolts with the 13 washers to align the pedals together and the desired angle of the pedals to the firewall.
