After removing the rudder pedal assembly kit and reviewing the parts. I started looking the angles and attachment points for the ground ajustable rudder pedals. What I found is that if you really are going to go with the ground adjustable pedals I should have been reviewing and attaching angles far earlier in the process, before I encloed the bottom skins. The angles rivet to the forward floor and with no access I quickly came to the concusion that I needed to order the infight adjustable pedals that attach to the forward firewall and bolt into the forward floor (which I had already riveted the plate nuts into place for bolting the assembly together.
I connected with Vans the following day and ordered the in flight adjustable pedals 550 vs 325.00 I had originally ordered the ground adjustable believing at some point I'm the only one flying this plane and once the pedals are where I want them I don't figure to move them. Less about the money and more about fixing the position. (Warning to anyone building with ground adjustable pedals, mount the angle rails before you button up the bottom skins)
