Brief Description:  forming the mid skins

I was a littel worried about the out come of this forming process and thought about taking the skin to work and forming it in the shop on a wheel, but in the end felt I should follow the instrcutions and experience of Van's engineers.

I constructed the wood brake to bend bar from a 2x4 and clamped the skin and wood to the work table. Cut the two angles and match drilled to hold the skin. Clecoed the skin and angle, added the additional clamps to hold the skin firm.

It took a little time and patience to roll the skin and continue to pull and bend the skin, but little by little the skin pulled up. Once I felt it was close to the shape needed. I pulled the wood and relased the angles. I took a piece of 2" PVC and worked the cone shape to fit the bulkheads. Repeated the process for the Right skin.

Overall very happy with the resultes.
