Brief Description: Drill elevator horns for attachement to horizontal
Removed the left elevator and attached the right elevator. I used the 1/4" copper tubing as a drill guide to drill the right elevator horn. Removed elevators and drilled final size. Fitted the washer/shims to correct spacing.
I also cut the fiberglass wing tips for the horizontal stabilizer to size. I had trimmed the sluminum skin just a little wide for the gap between the counter weight the fiberglass tips. Cutting the fiberglass tips alowed me to make up a 1/4" and reduce the gap to the same dimension as the spacing around the counterweight edge to the stablizer. While the fiberglass will be exposed without the edge of the aluminum for this 1/4" I think it will look and function better with the reduced spacing.
