Match drill water pipe through nose rib flange. This hole gets a pulled rivet later on. Most use the 12" #30 bit from Avery. Oh man, I only have one and I don't want to dull it going through the hard water pipe.
At the Arlington fly in this dude sells resharpend industrial bits. I had a 6" #30 and used it instead. Like the plans say, go through the spar, through the nose rib flange and through the water pipe. I again used lots of Boe Lube. Easy.
