Brief Description:  Adjust wing rib flange to web.

Now that we have finnished the daubting task of deburing the wing rib edged and lightening holes it's time to straighten the rib flages to the web.
The flange should be 90 degrees to the web.
The hand seamer is what is normally used along with a square.
The process is adjust, measure, adjust, measure over and over again.

The Vans news letter has this nifty thing that will straighten the flanges with out having to measure. It's a machanical process you repeat over and over but you don't have to put down the seamer and pick up the square a billion times.

This thing over bends the flange by 11 degrees and when released it springs back to a perfect 90 degrees to the web.

The process is, pull the vertical handle toward you to bend the flange, push forward to release, move the rib one hole width and repeat.
It's very fast and brainless. It did a great job. Took no time to make.

It's a 2x4 (anvil) on top of a 1x6 (base). The 2x4 has a 11 degree cut. The vertical is a 2x2 (pull bar), but the bottom is cut to have 3/4" to come into contact with the flange. 3/4 " is good for going around the nose rib curves. The bottom of the pull bar is angled cut with a large angle so that when you pull back, the bar will not crush the lightening hole raised area. WHen you pull back the flange is pressed into the 2x4 anvil and over bent by 11 degrees. The bull bar is attached to the ancil by a small hinge.
