These fuselage forward covers need a bit of preparation. All these parts are removable. So plenty of platenut anchor holes need to be prepared. I machine counter sink for NAS rivets as usual. Then a light scuffing with a scotch bright bad.
If you are installing an IO fuel injected engine then you will need to by more cover plates from Vans. These additional cover plates cover the high pressure fuel pump at the aft end of these cover plates, near the fuel selector. These additional fuel pump cover plates take away the anchor location for the manual trim knob. So you will have to buy a longer trim cable and relocate it.
Me, I’ve decided to go O-360 engine (carbureted) for now, not IO-360 fuel injected. Lot’s of reasons for my current decision. So, I don’t need the extra cover plates, or expensive high pressure fuel pump or the need to relocate the manual trim with a longer cable.
