Brief Description: Firewall - Fit parts on firewall, Part 1.
Image 1 shows all the parts that come formed and drilled from Van's. After they are debured you can just cleco them onto the firewall.
Image 2 shows part 601C, it required a bit more work to file and smooth the square cutout. A stiffener will fit into this cut out and you need to make sure that it does.
Image 3 shows a small 3"x5/8" spacer sitting on top of the angle aluminum. It was made from stock .063 Alclad. You hve to radius the edge that fits in the corner of the angle aluminum. I used the stock piece that was 1.5" wide and 6' long. I couldn't find a shorter stock piece to make these. 2 are required.
