Brief Description: Fabricated all parts for panel access
Today I aligned and drilled the holes for the flange frame for each opening. Next I temporarily installed the forward top skin with flanges attached to check for clearances and to measure for the z angle stiffeners that go on each side of the center (from firewall to instrument panel). Then I countersunk all the holes around the openings and primed the mating surfaces. My last act was to attempt solid riveting on two holes. Neither was to my satisfaction so I drilled them out and will take a day or two to come up with Plan B. All in all, I'm very pleased with the look, fit and finish of what I have done so far.
