This evening I fitted and back drilled the front turtle deck skin to the rear former and the rear hoop, this is easily achieved as a one-man job. With this done and no copper clecos left, I cut down the forward hoop to fit under the front skins and butt up against the rear hoop, this took lots of fiddling, but I managed a really good fit, along with achieving the correct angle at the hoop ends where they meet the top of the fuselage. My next step is to trim the overhang from the front skin so that I can install the brackets to support the front hoop.
