Brief Description:  Rear Turtle Deck

This afternoon with Clives help we fitted the rear turtle deck skin, Clive held a backing pice of wood to the outside fo the skin and I back drilled from underneath, pretty easy really, did the left side first for no particular reason and then the right. The skin is very thin at 16 tho and will crease very easily, so even pushing on it with the wood causes some minor distortion, but nothing that will be noticable once painted. With this done, we laid a strait length of aluminium extrusion across the turtle deck and based on the measurement in the photo guides (my drawings where missing the distance from the rear former to the hoop, the brackets where there but no measurement, its 860mm) I cut the hoop to size, well actually a little shorter then required by 10mm, but its OK. For anyone reading this, please keep in mind that as you cut the tube, it gets narrower and you need to streach it to fit the width of the fuselage, which means it gets shorter, so you last few cuts should be done with this in mind to end up with a prefect fit which I did not get.
