Brief Description:  Etch Priming parts

This morning I got up early and finally pulled off the stainless steel rivets for the toe brakes, its just another one of those little jobs that has finally been done. With this complete I cleaned all the parts I wanted to etch prime with thinners and then gave them a single coat of primer with the spray gun. I am using a product called Interlux Brightside, which is actully a paint developed for aluminium boats, the system needs to be used with their primer and then covered with their enamel finish. Its meant to be hard waring and flexible. As a general rule I am trying to keep the primer coats down to one coat to save on weight, and I am hoping that I can get away with at most two coats of the enamel finish. For anyone thats interested in the info go to this site; http://www.yachtpaint.com
