On Saturday morning I went over to Ian's place, Ian had offered to carve the mould for the bob weight, When I got there Ian had created a template using xcel that allowed us to calculate the size of the mould required to create the correct weight to be hung from the counter balance arm.
Out estimate was that about 1kg would be requried to balance the aileron, the template was slightly oversize to allow for drilling, filing and final shaping.
It took Ian about 1.5 hours to carve the mould and hand sand the mould and he did a beautiful job.
