Brief Description: Finish paint repair to right wing tip
I am nearly finished with the paint repair for the right wing tip, I just need to very lightly rub back some of the ridges created from masking off the area and then see if I can polish these back to a nice shine, but first I need to let the paint dry properly, I might even point the heater at the wet area to speed up the drying process. The low tack tape is a success and with a little determination you can even make it curve around corners without getting any bleeding under the edges of the tape. I used the 60 day painters tape produced by 3M. The 60-day bit, I think means that the tape can be left on for up to 60 days, still be easily removed and will not leave a sticky residue behind.
