Brief Description: Prepare and etch prime the cowl
After finishing the painting of the fuselage, I scrubbed the cowl with wet and dry to a nice smooth finish and then gave it a good wash to remove all the dust etc that had been collecting on and inside it over the last few months. After letting it dry, I wiped it down with Prepsol and then gave it a single coat of etch primer. The good thing about this is that it shows up any areas that need a little more filler etc. Yep there are a few so guess what I'll be doing over the next few nights. Once this is done I can give the bottom section a coat of white and then mount the cowl so that I can mask it to pick up the yellow line from the top of the fuselage, then I should be able to mask the whole lot to spray the Blue accent stripe.
