This evening I re-installed the muffler and installed the 4 springs that hold it all together, I have placed some saftly wire through the center of each spring so that if they break, the remain in place rather then flying out of the bottom of the cowl and hitting something. Once this was done and the carb heat shrowd installed, I spent half an hour just tidying up the garage again. Its now ready for more mess to be created. Next step, remove the canopy and store somewhere safe so that it can't get damaged, then start preparations for painting...I have already removed the seats because I don't trust myself with overspray etc.
