Brief Description: Filled low points on cowl hatch
This afternoon I placed some plastic sheet under the cowl hatch and then smeered bog over the edges to bring them up to the same level as the cowl. Once the bog had dried, I did an initial sand back of the bog before it gets really hard. There are a few imperfections that need to be filled and the edges need a better tidy up, but from here its all cosmetic. I also need to fill the rivets at the front of the cowl and also all the rivets along the cowl edges where the hinges where pop riveted in place. As you can see in image 2, the hatch lip is actually a little higher than the cowl and will need to be sanded down a little more.
Initial sanding after adding bog, to bring it down to the correct level
Still a little more work requried to tidy it up but its getting there
