Setting camber is pretty easy. I'm just starting to do it in pic 1. You can get an idea of where about 90 degrees is and I wanted -4 degrees. If I'd done nothing it would have ended up nearer -15 or more due to the curve of the leg! All I had to do was put the digital level on the board and move it until I had my -4 degrees.
I spent a long time leveling the fuselage and establishing the center line 26 odd feet away with a white dot on a black bit of paper. Then the distance apart of the gear legs at the pads is needed. If I transfered this to the front marks then I'd have zero toe in marked at the window. (gear leg spread divided by two either side of the center mark.
To get toe in, its .1" in every two feet of distance. See the Cozy plans for details. I worked out where the mark were and then had to shoot the laser to the mark as you can see in pic 3.
i.e. Target was 14' 6 and 3/8" away. so I needed .725" inboard each side for the toe in. Gear was 53.7" apart so thats 29.35" either side of the line less .725 for toe in...then mark an X. Got it? If I have this wrong...don't email. Its too late. ..in any case the desierd numbers are a guess. I won't really know what I need until the plane is built and all the heavy bits are on the gear spreading them out a little!
