Brief Description:  Canopy Trim 12

Installed the canopy latch. Note how its resting open position is blocked from rotating by the canopy bow. Mount it that way. In the 2nd photo note the latch in closed position and the springs are slightly compressed now. When you reopen it, you slightly pull down, rotate to open, and let it be pulled upwards by those two little springs. Springs do not exert a lot of pressure, but enough to hold the latch upwards, preventing it from rotating.
Started painting the top of the dashboard black in preparation for mounting the canopy permanently. I'll also paint a one inch tall black line along the inside forward edge of the canopy, matching the dashboard black so it will cover any fiberglassing work along the front edge of the canopy even though I will mix black in the fiberglass mix. Better safe than sorry.
