Brief Description: Canopy Frame 6 - Side frame fitted
Don't know how the newer models get away with two #5 dice rivet layout because of a tooling hole in the forward frame that gets in the way. Note that the forward ''5'' rivets are not in a nice #5 dice configuration due to that tooling hole. Had to move the middle rivet back to have sufficient clearance from that hole. Kept testing and retesting the future top skin layout to see how it willl overlap onto the forward sub panel. I've read so many sites where shimming had to happen to get a perfect lay. So far, so good. Made a couple of wedges to fit between the C613 and the forward canopy frame to account for the extra space underneath due to the forward frame tilting more downward, by design. One thing I did notice is when I had to spread the two halves of the forward frame apart to match the width of the fuselage, that forced the rear ''tube'' to flatten out across the middle, mainly because it is firmly fixed and cannot spread like the front part. I guess it will turn out ok, though.
