Manual Reference:  Canopy Deck F-621B
Brief Description:  Made remaining F-621B Canopy Deck Rail

This part is a long rectangle and you shape the outer edge to blend perfectly with the curved fuselage side skin. Snip, snip some more, remount, mark, cut the tab in the front that goes under the F621A. Clamp together, Drill #40 through F621A into the tab. Be careful. It's close to F-604. When its roughly shaped, layout the #40 rivet pattern and drill it and the top longeron. Check with mirror to be sure you have correct location in longeron. Drill the line, trace curvature underneath onto the slight overhang. take off. Trim close to the marked line, debur, dimple the F-621B, countersink the fuselage longeron. While off, squeeze rivet the tab to the F-621A. No room to do it when its mounted. Remount, use vixen file to shape the overhaning F-621B to the fuselage sidewall for a perfect edge to edge match. Careful not to scratch the side skin. I put a strip of wide 3M blue tape on it and when I noticed it starting to tear I knew I was nearly done. I used a plastic room key card to push upwards. If it caught the top rail, I filed a little more. The Vixen looks like it would tear into anything it touches, but it produces a very smoooth result. I'm sure there are other power tools that work, but this did it for me. Rattle can etch primed the canopy rail underside and riveted it in place. Used two CS4 pull rivets where it went across the F604 bulkhead cap as there was no way to buck regular rivets.

Vixen file made a beautifully smooth flat edge. Just be careful and use 3M tape next to the top.
