Brief Description:  Gear Weldment Spacer and Canopy Deck top.

Made a spacer to fix the extra space left over on the co pilot gear weldment when bolted up tight. Cut out a piece of .25 thick angle and belt sanded it down to .210. Man it gets hot. Had to let it rest a few times to cool down. Match drilled the two gear weldment holes and enlarged them to .25. Its tricky to get the weldment bolted up. You have to start by bolting loosely the spacer/weldment. Then using a 1/4 inch tapered drift pin you align the four side fuselage holes and start those bolts loosely, then proceed to feed the main spar bolts in place. Tight but it works.

Made the copilot side canopy deck cover but will wait for Vans to send those new gusset plates before I drill it to the canopy longeron. One of those parts that needs to be trimmed on a curve to match the shape of the fuselage as you head towards the rear.
