Brief Description:  Calibrate Left Fuel Tank

I started the fuel level calibration on the Dynon Skyview for the left tank. Resistive float level sensor is the type used here. Starting volts were 2.76 v at empty. Every 2 gallons I added another calibration reading. Image 1 shows the 2-gallon increments. 2.52v=2 gals; 2.24v=4 gals; 2.05v=6 gals; 1.77v=8 gals; 1.59v=10 gals; 1.40v=12 gals; 1.00v=14 gals; 0.66=16 gals and that was the limit of the float level movement and the voltage change. So, 17,18 and 19 gals did not change the reading. Thats the way it's supposed to work. You will burn 4 gallons before the Dynon gauge shows fuel level dropping. However, it is quite accurate from 2 down to zero gallons. A check of the fuel function on the Skyview showed the correct information. I also made a rudimentary fuel level measuring stick and will make a nice permanent one after I finish both tanks.
